One of my team member was badly injured and she played to the maximum she could but we were the runners of that match. Mam was disappointed and we were upset. But she took it sportive and was back to normal, Ohganakal was nearby so she took the whole team there because that was our last match. We had lots of fun and enjoyed, we went boating, played with ball in the running water and spent great time with mam and my team. After our final review of our project we took photos in the ground with my team, mam and the boy’s team. Volleyball gave me a unforgatable and gifted life. I enjoyed everymoment of life through my everloving volleyball a passion of mine.

There was a team equally strong as ours. This was a challinging mathch for us. We did not have any coach to guide us but they had a experienced coach. In our own interest went to gym to improve the power and trained-up ourselves and had a heavy practise before that match. Our college did not provide extra time to practise but we bunked the classes and practised. We won quater finals, semi-finals and we were in for the finals and as we expected they were the opponents. The match went tough that each took 2 out of five sets and had to play deciding set. Their coach guided them to choose the side they had to take if they win the toss, we were the toss winners and disucussed among us and chose a side and it became our favouret side, the match went tough and finally we won the match in 2 points. That was my happiest moment and realised that hardwork never fails.

He was the one responsible for us to join that college. It seemed to be unusual when we went for a match with a new person, he was very polite, friendly and caring. He did not know much about volleyball, eventhen he used to come to ground and guide us. He requested college management to provide us healthy drinks before starting the practise. Enough facilities were given more than we needed and he was the person next to my school coach. All the PD’s of the institute were kind to us. The management appointed a coach for us, whose behaviour was harsh. Our PD himself seeing his behaviour suggested the management to change the coach. Two years later he was transfered to other college in the same institute and a new mam was appointed for us. She was also friendly with us.

That was the first time i was out from my family for long. I used to feel for it daily, friends in hostel consoled me and were very kind to me as days passed. Monthly twice my parents come to visit me. Experienced a different atmosphere in hostel that made me happy. Everything was new to me, we spent most of the time together with friends, had lots of fun in tv hall, friends arranged for a party in hostel when we won the match, played songs and danced together, performed various programs on farwel. Our seniors were also very friendly with us. I became very talkative then and during exams my friends and seniors were helpful. Whem i missed my lab classes class friends helped me out to overcome. Who would ever get this life, i got that and enjoyed.

We were only five in our team and formally a team needs six players. Our PD selected a new player and initially we found it difficult to combine with her in the ground but then managed. Only one equal opponent we had whome we always meet in the finals. In the college matches eight times we lost with them eventhen we had confidence that we would win them atleast once and worked very hard and had a great practise. And finally the ninth time we won and proved them that we were also equally strong. College management provided us with branded sports kits. It was difficult for me when i missed the class and my friends helped me out by teaching the uncovered portions.

Not only i was given scolarship but also four of my friends were given by the same college. And we were back together but not the whole team,  only five were together out of nine.Our game attracted the Physical Directors of the institute. The institute has many colleges and ours is one among them. We continued rocking in the college. My team was the first sports team of the whole institute. We were split to various classes because we took different branches and the first semester it was comman eventhen we were not in the same class. But i was very luck there to get great friends. They mean to me a lot.

A month before my 12th board exam i was called to represent a state match. My coach left the decision to me. When i asked my parents decision, initially they opposed but later they allowed me to participate for which my mom was very supportive. I took-up training for a week with a new team and represented the match and secured first place in it. Then came back and concentrated every moment on my studies but i could get only average mark in my final exam. The certificates that i got in volleyball and mainly the one i got in the last state match helped me  to get a good course in a best college with a scolership of 5lakhs for my UG course. Without that certificate i would not have got this opportunity. I am always thankful to my coach, parents, teachers and my frients who were supportive to attain this position.
